Before Jeff Bezos took over as the world's richest man, Bill Gates (founder of Microsoft
) held the title with a net worth of just over 91 billion dollars.
What kind of business did Mr. Gates build?
He built a software company which is, in essence, a business that earns income by selling information.
Software is code - or in other words, information.
One of the reasons this business model is so insanely profitable is because once the code (or information) is created, you can sell the same product again and again and again to different people - with no increase of cost of goods.
This means that after the expense of a business are paid - all new sales are PURE profit and in selling information, there's plenty of it.
But wait, there's more.
Not only is information marketing one of the most profitable business models on planet earth, most people intuitively know information (education) is valuable so they are willing to pay big money for it.
How else could you explain the fact that millions upon millions of college kids incur tens of thousands (and in same cases hundreds of thousands) of dollars in debt to go to college and consume information?
And this is totally normal and encouraged by most of society.
So we have a business model that's highly profitable AND everyone knows how valuable it is so they're willing to pay top dollar for it.
Could it get any better?
Information also just so happens to be one of the most life-changing products you can bring to someone to help make a difference.

One day back in 2009, some new information came along and changed everything for him.
He went onto...
